Paeonia sterniana is a herbaceous peony first collected in the Tsangpo Valley in south-east Tibet at an altitude of 3000 m. It bears solitary flowers in white, with very delicate petals. This peony is very rare in cultivation. It produces blue seeds in autumn.[2]
Description
Paeonia sterniana is a hairless perennial herbaceous plant of up to 90 cm high. It has thick tapering roots of up to 30 cm long and 1.5 cm thick.
