Ronnex Records is a former Belgian record label, founded by Albert Van Heights in 1951.[1]
Other well-known artists on Ronnex were Jackhammer (an American singer from New Orleans who had settled in Belgium and was known as "The Twistin' King"), Freddy Sunder, The Shakespears , Burt Blanca, Woolley and John Just Born, Davy Jr. & Guess Who?, Erik Marijsse
Ronnex Records released especially rock and roll and pop music, as well as recordings of Flemish and Walloon artists. Albert Van Heights followed the American music scene on foot, thanks to his brother René (Ray), who lived in the United States with itself led the Moonglow Records.[2] Ronnex could distribute US independent record labels, with artists like Bill Haley, Little Richard, The Righteous Brothers.[3]
Albert Of Heights used the pseudonym A. Vano on the pictures for which he producer, arranger and songwriter was. He also tried to help his son Ronny to a music career. Ronny used as a stage name Ronn Clay and Ronny Angel. Ronny sang while initially texts on music that had been used by other artists on Ronnex like 'Crazy Twist', a song that had already been released by Jackhammer.[4]
Ronnex Records was acquired by BMG Music, but was sold to Pop Eye Records (Belgium).
