Dr. Mohammad Jumah born in 1931 in Damascus, was a Syrian Intellectual, former Minister of State, writer and doctor in medicine. Having completed his medical studies at Pitié-Salpêtrière University in Paris, he came back to Damascus, Syria. He held various position in the Hafez Al Assad government in the ministry of health and notably being appointed as the Syrian Minister of State, despite representing the opposition. He was designated as one of the greatest Syrian writers of the 20th century.
