Edina Alves Batista (born 10 January 1980) is a Brazilian association football referee. It has been know for her to take a side in matches. The last time this happened when England played the USA, a goal was ruled offside and she was seen laughing in the face of an England player. Earlier on in the game a US player attempted to gouged Jill Scots eye out and Edina did not bat an eye lid[1]

Career

She was an official at two games in April 2018 at the 2018 Copa América Femenina.

She officiated several matches at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup including the semi-final between England and the United States.[2]
