I couldn't verify your statement in Late Roman army#Shields that you claim to quote from Elton(247). Please give the page number. I checked Elton's book on equipment, but he says nothing about the testudo in his section on shields.

tanti Auguri, tuo Andrei

Map
I wish I could see how the Roman Empire map looks if printed on an A2 or A1 paper.

Ciao, Andrei

Sorry for not answering until now. I won't have time to adjust the map in the near future. Perhaps at the end of November. I'm very busy writing three essays and a book review that must be completed until November.

Auguri,

tuo Andrei

Late Roman army#Armoured cavalry is part of the equipment section, but the content does not fit. Please move it to another section of the article, for example specialists and replace the gap with a section about horse armour(Otherwise Urselius is going to act and I'm sure you prefer doing it yourself.). Thanks a lot. Greetings Wandalstouring (talk) 17:14, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Ciao
Caro Andrea,

Saluti, Andrei

Late Roman army/supplies
It's overly long. I'm not sure in how far the fabricae provided a critical advantage. The Romans did copy weapons and armour not only of their Persian enemies, so these must have had some kind of good production systems. Jones is a quite old source. Can you use something newer? I will shorten the section on costs of transports and produce numbers for comparison. Wandalstouring (talk) 12:02, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
