C.D.S. Tampico Madero
Jaibos Tampico Madero (Tampico Madero Crabs) is a football (soccer) team that actually plays in the Mexican Primera "a" that is the second divsion.
Tampico Madero best years were the 50´s where Tampico won the mexican season of 1952-1953.
Also won the Mexican Campeon de Campeones trophy, where the season chempion and the cup champion meet. The team was relegated to the second division years later.
In the 70´s -80´s the Tampico Madero zone oil union also know as the "seccion 1" built a 25,000 people capacity Stadium called Tamaulipas Stadium.
The team arrive to 2 straight finals 1985 and 1986.
The best forward player of all times is Sergio Lira.
1990 was sold and became Queretaro.
1995 tampico returned back to the first division but didn´t lasted even a year.
In 2001 the team came to the primera "a" but again after a good season the team was sold
Nowadays the Jaibos play in the primera "a" and have one of the most powerful crowds in all Mexico eventough playing in primera "a".
Tampico has a brotherhood with first division teams like America and San Luis.
