The Solicitor General for Indiais subordinate to the Attorney General for India. The Solicitor General for India is the second law officer of the country, assists the Attorney General, and is himself assisted by four Additional Solicitors General for India.[1] Unlike the Attorney General, Solicitor General does not tender legal advice to the [[Government of India. His workload is confined to appearing is courts on behalf of the union of india.
