Thank you very much! I will certainly join up with the new project, thank you for the invitation. :-) Hersfold (talk/work) 02:33, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey

No problem with that, I barely even worked on it.

Dangerous waters

I bet you know what I'm talking about :) Anyway, you will have my support when you transclude!--Xnuala (talk)(Review) 00:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Regarding your RfA...

Don't feel too bad about it. My first RfA wound up being 14/14/10, so you're in better shape now than I was. The only opposition seems to be your edit count, so in a couple months no doubt you'll do fine. Just be careful about letting people know you're running... People might take it as a violation of WP:CANVASS, which could cost you support from people who normally would. Cheers, Lanky TALK 18:23, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

That's what I saw as well - I'm going to try to do more copy-edit type stuff, and clearing out the AFC backlogs should help with the "lack of mainspace edits" as well. I didn't think I'd make it this time anyway, I just mainly wanted to see where I stood. I will make sure I'm not in violation of anything before I decide to send out messages - do you think if I sent messages to everyone involved, including neutrals and opposition, that would be less biased and somewhat acceptable? Copied to your talk page. Hersfold (talk/work) 19:00, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Your best bet might be to just allow new people to filter in. Currently there's a lot of ill-will towards the WP:CANVASS guideline, but a lot of others are willing to take violations as reason enough for an oppose. Most of the crew who saw your RfA will probably still be checking anyway or won't be around, making the messages redundant. Anyway, have fun editing! Cheers, Lanky TALK 19:09, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Sorry to see your RfA didn't turn out how you'd hoped - my own attempt failed on a similar percentage last week, so I know how it feels :) I find it a little frustrating that people put arbitrary standards like "You need X edits", rather than focusing on the quality and content of the contributions one does have. Keep up the good work, I'll be watching for your name in RfA again and hopefully next time it's a different story! Arkyan • (talk) 20:18, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey, sorry it didn't go through this time. If and when you decide to run again, please drop me a note (and it won't be canvassing since I am requesting you). I'll drop in with a support (if I am still around and if you are still behaving of course!;).- TwoOars 20:33, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

This image is a derivate work, right? What images is it a derivative of? The flag of the UN is public domain, but what's that infront of it? --Deskana (talk) 00:11, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

The Starfleet logo. That part of the image was actually self-generated, so I don't think any license would apply? If you think otherwise, let me know and I can try to figure it out or have it deleted. Hersfold (talk/work) 01:26, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Wikibreak

Hey, enjoy your vacation! I am definitely not well versed in templates, but I am acquainted with the talented Ben, so if I need any template work done I will ask him.--Xnuala (talk)(Review) 23:44, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Emoticon

Hi. I've moved your template:emoticon back to your userspace. Previously similar templates have been discussed and deleted (see logs for links), and so this template is liable for deletion under WP:CSD #G4 if it remains in templatespace. (I'll add that I personally discourage their use, though there is no rule against graphical smilies. Some editors find them irritating, and recommend that only text smilies get used. Thanks :) --Quiddity 17:56, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
