Salmissra

Salmissra is a fictional character in the works of David Eddings, including The Belgariad and The Malloreon. She is both the queen of Nyissa and the high priestess of their god, Issa. Each successive ruler of Nyissa is chosen based on their appearance and mannerisms as compared to the real Salmissra, who lived long ago in the first age. Belgarath remarks that such an arrangement makes things easier because Salmissra is always the same over the eons. She is attended entirely by eunuchs, probably because the drugs that keep her appearing young also dramatically increase her appetites. The most famous eunuch is Sadi. A fictional character is any person who appears in a work of fiction. ... David Eddings (born July 7, 1931) is the author of several best-selling series of epic fantasy novels. ... The Belgariad is a five book fantasy epic written by David Eddings. ... The Malloreon is also a five part fantasy book series written by David Eddings, which follows The Belgariad. ... Issa can refer to: the Somali clan that resides in Djibouti Darrell Issa, Californian Representative Kobayashi Issa, Japanese haiku poet ancient Greek colony on the Adriatic island of Vis a divine character in David Eddings fantasy series The Belgariad and The Malloreon. ...

Plot or ending details follow. During The Belgariad Garion and his friends trail Zedar to Nyissa, where Garion is kidnapped and taken to Salmissra's palace. As punishment for her interference and aid to Zedar, Polgara turns her into a snake. Although enraged at first, the snake--still acting as queen--eventually comes to accept the transformation and thanks Polgara in The Malloreon. The Belgariad is a five book fantasy epic written by David Eddings. ... Belgarion (also called Garion) is the chief protagonist in The Belgariad and The Malloreon, two fantasy epics written by David Eddings. ... In David Eddings's fantasy saga The Belgariad, Zedar is a disciple of Torak. ... Nyissa is the smallest of the countries in the West of David Eddings book series The Belgariad which is followed by The Malloreon. ... Polgara the Sorceress is a fictional character in the David Eddings book series The Belgariad and The Malloreon. ... The Issans are similar to Ancient Egyptians, and Salmissra is said to have been made after the artistry of the Din family, residing in Nova Scotia, Canada-- Also claimed to have been Vampires at an earlier time.
