Robert Samuel Sprout (born December 5, 1941 in Florin, Pennsylvania) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for one season. He pitched in one game the Los Angeles Angels on September 27 during the 1961 Los Angeles Angels season.

Sprout holds the single-game strikeout record for the Midwest League when, on August 18, 1960, he struck out 22 batters pitching for the Decatur Commodores against the Waterloo Hawks. The Commodores won by a score of 3-0.
