Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian maritime history/Categories

This sub page of the Australian maritime history project is to trace existing category trees for issues relating to the subject with the ultimate aim of standardising categories - and possibly encouraging some changes where necessary:

Convict Ships

Higher category - Ships by type but the proviso in that category allows alternate use of the word boat it dones not seem to be significantly utilised.

From Category Boats we have This category includes articles on individual vessels often considered as boats. Note that some vessels may be legitimately either here or Category:Ships by type, or both.Category:Ship types has articles on types of ships. Category:Boat types has articles on types of boats.

From the Ports and harbours category page: -Category:Ports and harbours - Ports and harbours are not quite the same thing, but the articles about them have been combined in this category as they are closely related.
