Charles Joseph Faulkner

Charles Joseph Faulknor (1833-92) was a mathematician and fellow of University College, Oxford and a founding partner of Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Co. He was a college friend of William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones, and worked with them on a number of projects, including the Oxford Union murals and the decoration of Red House. In 1861, he become a founder-shareholder and bookkeeper of Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Co., but left the firm in 1864 and returned to his fellowship at Oxford, where he remained until resigning in 1888 due to illness. He accompanied Morris on his trips to Iceland.[1]
