The Cimetière Notre-Dame-de-Belmont (Belmont Cemetery (in English)) is a historic garden cemetery located at 701 avenue Nérée-Tremblay in Quebec City, in the province of Quebec, Canada.[1][2] The Roman Catholic cemetery was built between 1857 and 1859.[1] Its architect, Charles Baillargé, took inspiration from the noted garden cemetery of Green-Wood, located in Brooklyn, New York, United States.[1] The cemetery was blessed on July 10, 1859, and the first burial took place two days later.[1]
