Director Claudia Weill is best known for her film "Girlfriends" (1978), starring Melanie Mayron. Weill also worked as a camerawoman and documentarist before becoming a director. More recently, Weill directed episodes of "Once and Again," "Chicago Hope," "My So-Called Life," and "thirtysomething." She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons.
