A financial plan is a written analysis of an individual's financial circumstances developed by a financial planner, in light of the individual's goals, resources, and current tax law, investment options, and insurance needs.
Also, a financial plan can refer to a section of a business plan, which consists of three financial statements (the income statement, the cash flow projection, and the balance sheet) and a brief analysis of these three statements.
