Elly Lefort (born 4 November 1987 in Saint-Nazaire) is a French and Monegasque bobsledder. He competed for Monaco until the 2013–14 season, before switching to compete for France.[1][2]

Lefort's bobsledding career is distinguished by his participation in the 2014 Winter Olympics for France. Alongside driver Loïc Costerg, Florent Ribet, and Romain Heinrich in the France-1 sled, the team achieved a commendable 15th place finish in the four-man event. Beyond his Olympic and World Cup achievements, Lefort has also achieved success in the America's Cup, securing victories in competitions held in Lake Placid and Park City.[3][4][5][6]

Early Life and Athletic Career

Elly was born in Saint-Nazaire, a coastal town in France. He pursued academic studies in business and sports management. As an athlete, he went to track and field, particularly in decathlon and discus throw. His athletic performance attracted the attention of the Monaco bobsled team, leading to a significant phase in his winter sports career. Elly joined the French bobsled team and participated in the Olympic Games. His participation made him the first winter Olympian from his hometown, an honor recognized by his receiving the city's medal.[7][8][3][9][4][10]

Lefort competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for France. He teamed with driver Loïc Costerg, Florent Ribet and Romain Heinrich in the France-1 sled in the four-man event, finishing 17th.[11][12]

As of April 2014, his best showing at the World Championships is 20th, coming in the two-man event in 2013.[1][2]

Lefort made his World Cup debut in November 2009. As of April 2014, his best finish is 8th, in a pair of events in 2010-11.[1][2]

Entrepreneurship and Personal Training

In Chicago, Elly established himself as a  personal trainer, sharing his knowledge in training, nutrition, and motivational strategies. In addition to personal training, Elly pursued new business ideas, including the launch of a new yoga company, inspired by his travels.[3][4][13]

Philanthropy

Elly supports initiatives aimed at promoting health, education, and environmental sustainability.[3]
