Elly Lefort (born 4 November 1987 in Saint-Nazaire) is a French and Monegasque bobsledder. He competed for Monaco until the 2013–14 season, before switching to compete for France.[1][2]

Lefort competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for France. He teamed with driver Loïc Costerg, Florent Ribet and Romain Heinrich in the France-1 sled in the four-man event, finishing 17th.[3][4]

Elly was born in Saint-Nazaire, a coastal town in France known for its rich maritime heritage. He pursued academic studies in business and sports management.[5][6]

Sports Career

Elly pursued a career in athletics, specializing in track and field events such as decathlon and discus throw. His athletic abilities caught the interest of the bobsled team from Monaco, which marked a turning point in his winter sports journey. Elly became a member of the French bobsled team and had the opportunity to compete in the Olympic Games. His participation in the games brought great pride to his hometown, as he became the first winter Olympian from there. In recognition of this achievement, the city awarded him with a medal.[7]

As of April 2014, his best showing at the World Championships is 20th, coming in the two-man event in 2013.[1][2]

Lefort made his World Cup debut in November 2009. As of April 2014, his best finish is 8th, in a pair of events in 2010-11.[1][2]
