Spanish opera singer Eteri Lamoris is laureate in nine International competitions (in five of which she was awarded the first prize). Since her early years Eteri studied singing with her mother, famous opera singer Lamara Chkonia Lamara Chkonia. At the age of 23 she was acclaimed as "one of ten best voices in the world" in the OPERALIA World Opera Contest (1994)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkO-DhUouOI, where she also earned a special award: the "Public Prize" of Vienna together with tenor Jose Cura. Then at the Higher School of Singing in Madrid, also attending the lectures of Renata Scotto and Ruthilda Boesch in Vienna. Her debut took place with the role of Desdemona (Otello) in the STATE PRINCIPAL OPERA THEATRE OF GEORGIA Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatrewhere she later sang roles such Violetta (La Traviata), Gilda (Rigoletto) and some national operas. After her international breakthrough in the role of Musetta in Franco Zeffirelli's LA SCALA production of La Boheme. She performed at the following operas and theaters: TEATRO DI SAN CARLO DI NAPOLI: La Boheme (Musetta); in the same role with Luciano Pavarotti and Mirella Freni at the TEATRO REGIO DI TORINO; OPER DER STADT BONN: Romeo et Juliette (title role) produced by Giancarlo Del Monaco; WASHINGTON OPERA: Romeo et Juliette (title role), I Puritani (Elvira) and in a production of TEATRO ALLA SCALA DI MILANO: I Pagliacci with Placido Domingo, directed by Franco Zeffirelli.

On March 10th, 2012 princess Christina Magnusson presented Eteri Lamoris with the INTERNATIONAL GOLD-MEDAL AWARD “GREATEST SINGER OF OUR TIME”. http://www.stockholmskultur.nu/se The event took place at the ROYAL PALACE OF STOCKHOLM.[1]
