Supporting evidence: Extremely similar pattern of editing on Muhammad and slavery by the above accounts with how DavidYork71 edited on Islam and slavery. Including: large amounts of tendentious, original research inserted; a long string of edits usually without edit summary; (see Islam and slavery article history and AN/I reports re DavidYork71) hasty, often pointish GA nominations of articles where he has just finished editing.[2][3] Using irrelevant pictures often to inflame sentiments.[4][5] IP's already showed considerable familiarity with on-wiki colloquialisms and policies. The first two were making the pederasty vandalism, and the third made the exact same reverted edit to Karmapa controversy : [10] and [11]. If I am wrong on these, (especially the third) let me know and I will unblock, but these seemed obvious. Already took care of this one. Blocked. I think we know DavidYork71's standard targets and patterns at this point. I have just been watching his favorite targets and blocking on sight. We have enough history to spot the obvious ones without checkuser by now. These are running with similar MO to previous socks, including trying to change the definition of Rape to indicate it's a successful evolutionary strategy; they've both been running around inserting questionable crosslinks to pornography articles and various similar targets into marginally related articles. Abreactive was blocked by NawlinWiki (talk · contribs) yesterday after recreating a category originally started by a previous sock. Since these socks tend to be like finding a dead roach on the bathroom floor - you always know there's live ones someplace - it would be good to check for sleepers. Following the blocking of multiple socks in the most recent RFCU case, User:Prester John is re-instating all the articles that User:Ultrabias had edited which had subsequently been reverted following the previous RFCU confirmation.

I was, at first, inclined to believe that this wasn't DavidYork71 and just someone obsessed with Mike Gravel and related articles...the edit pattern didn't seem to quite match DavidYork71's at the time. But now I'm beginning to see the trademarks of DavidYork71, especially the flooding of article histories that DavidYork71 does. But the part that really set my radar off was this edit to Islam in Canada. It'd be a little weird for someone to have an obsession with Mike Gravel and Islam and not be related to DavidYork71. Yes, I now have my suspicions too. Also, his responses on talk pages are just DavidYork71. And the sex-related edits that some may consider a little perverted are pure DavidYork71. Hmmmm - well, given the link between NewHampshireVolunteer and Llangowen and the fact that from the contribs, the community would be easily convinced that Llangowen (and today's other identical edit socks) is in fact DY71, then it is no leap at all to deduce that NewHampshiVolunteer is DavidYork. "inconclusive" may not mean "confirmed", but on the other hand, it doesn't mean "no connection", particularly when the edit histories are taken into account. That's my deduction anyway. Many thanks. While the behaviour on 16 May for the 203. one definitely fits, it's an odd one - it's a defence.gov.au IP and its general history prior to the present has been military-related edits. DavidYork71 had a strong infinity for articles related to Mike Gravel. These accounts have shared in this infinity. NI4D showed up 2 days after the last checkuser blocked a whole bunch of the sockpuppets. In addition to the edits to many Mike Gravel articles, NI4D also has found himself in trouble for edit warring over categories of racism. This may seem like a random and odd connection between them, but also note that none of these accounts seem to know what the preview function is and make dozens of edits to the same articles in a row just like DavidYork71. The second IP (...244.253) was used yesterday to evade the block placed on NI4D's account for 3RR violations. The first IP follows the same editing behaviors as the other accounts. This user has been extremely disruptive on a range of fronts, mainly on articles related to race and/or Islam - he was first blocked on 22 March 2007 for 3RR violation on Islam and slavery, an article with which this user has been consistently and persistently associated. On 31 March, he was blocked for canvassing on user talk pages [38] [39] [40] for Islam and slavery. AN/I discussion This block was extended for almost certain sockpuppetry under an IP address. On 5 April, he was blocked again for continuing disruptive behaviour, including attempting to place an image on his talk page repeatedly (most recent instance). Some other diffs around 5 April can be found here at AN/I.

He also embarked on a campaign to get autosodomy (now a deleted article) recognised as yogic practice, and has been disruptive at WP:GA - several of the suspected socks, as a first or second edit, have passed or failed articles in WP:GAC, including Hezbollah [41], Exponentiation [42] etc, as well as restoring contentious sections to Template:Particle, Template:Particle etc. Orderinchaos 12:16, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. This is interesting. If we consider the contribs, the 'users' marked as not obviously related actually have the least direct evidence. And the least number of posts. The one exception is User:Gerwani's edit linking sodomy and yoga - it's hard to imagine that not being DY. Possibly a copy cat?
