Jerzy Żurawlew (December 25, 1886, Rostov-on-Don – October 3, 1980, Warsaw) was a Polish pianist, conductor, and professor at the Warsaw conservatory. He studied with Aleksander Michałowski, and was a favourite pupil. He was the founder of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, at Warsaw in 1927.[1]
