Stepping Stone is a song written by Duffy and Steve Brooker for Duffy's debut album Rockferry. After much confusion in which Serious was said to be the fourth single by Universal, it was confirmed by Polydor that in fact, Stepping Stone was to be the fourth single in the UK. It is unknown whether the track will be released worldwide.

The premise of the music video has been released, and it is said to be a 'steamy sex flick' in which the Welsh singer will be taken back to the swinging 60's and picked up by a man. Duffy will then go on to sing the song in white linen sheets.
