Curracloe is a town in County Wexford, a few miles north of Wexford town. It is very close to the long and sandy Curracloe Strand. Curracloe sees a huge influx of holiday makers every summer, who stay in mobile homes and caravan parks.

The beach was used for the filming of the D-Day sequence in Saving Private Ryan, due to its proximity to Wexford's Ardmore Studios and the tax break for fim production in Ireland.
