Charlotte McLeod (McLeod's Daughters)
Charlotte Prudence McLeod (called Charlotte) is a character in the Australian television show, McLeod's Daughters.
Charlotte is the daughter of Claire McLeod and Peter Johnson and the niece of Tess McLeod. Her nickname is BOM, which stands for 'Baby of McLeod.'
Biography
Charlotte was born on Drovers Run during the appearance of the Min Min Lights , while Claire was visiting the horse paddocks. She was delivered by Tess and Alex Ryan. Charlotte also has two older half-sisters, Alana and Natalie Johnson, who are the daughters of Peter Johnson and his wife, Julia Johnson. When Charlotte was born, her father had no contact with her although he had signed her birth certificate and was listed down as her father. So she came to view Alex more as a father figure.
Charlotte spent the first year of her life on Drovers Run. She was only four months old when her mother died while trapped inside a ute that fell down a cliff. After Claire's death she was then raised by her 'Aunty Tess'. They have always been close. Charlotte got bitten by a red back spider and almost died, but managed to get to hospital on time with the help of her mother's old friend Stevie Hall.
On the eve of her first birthday, her father returned wanting to take her to live with his family. Caught in a huge custody war, Tess decided to keep the peace by inviting Peter and his daughters, Alana and Natalie to the party. During the party Charlotte bonds with her new family. Charlotte's sisters loves her. Even Peter's wife, Julia takes a shine to Charlotte. Alex doesn't want to lose Charlotte and believes he is a much better father to Charlotte than Peter. Alex has never forgiven Peter for the pain he caused Claire. Alex and Peter have a fight during Charlotte's birthday party after Alex gives Charlotte a pony for her birthday and Charlotte being happy over her new present. After an agreement reached by Tess and Peter, Charlotte goes to live with Peter and his family so she can grow up with her father and her sisters. Charlotte, however still continues to visit her mother's family and friends and has the best of both families. She was even a flower girl at Nick and Tess' wedding.
Charlotte is a typical little girl who likes to play and explore. She also tends to wander off and go missing. First while Peter and Tess were arguing, being found playing with her sister, Natalie and again while visiting Tess climbing up the roof at Drovers Run and falling asleep on the widow's walk later found by her Uncle Nick (Tess' husband and Alex's brother). She even snuck into Rob's room and playing with his stuff while visiting Alex.
Now that Tess has moved to Argentina, the only person she visits is Alex. The last appearance that Charlotte made was when she visited Alex and his new fiancee Fiona.
