Hello, i made the "advertisement" section on the National City Corp. page. It is not spam or advertising. Just a description, the two programs that are offered are unique among banks, that is why I put that in there. The rest was describing their marketing, and under a marketing section itself. I don't see any spam or bias in it, just a description of their stated goal. So I'm wondering if the tag you put on their is necessary or not.... Strunke 18:17, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also tried rewording it, let me know if that is better.....thanks Strunke 18:22, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The whole line still smells like marketing-speak. Things like, "innovating new banking products" (since toned down) and, "New products like these are part of National City's marketing campaign and product lineup to become the "Best in Class" in banking and provide a one-stop banking source for customers" are in my opinion weaselly. I would describe the "points" program in one or two lines (simply saying they have some kind of "usage credits") with the link as to the official site as a footnote. The ATM fee part - is that them waiving their fees or reimbursing the fees that the other bank's charge? Either way, I think that should be separated from the "points" since they are independent. Obviously, every company does new things to try to be the best; that whole line can just go. I will try to get to it tonite after work if I get a chance if you or somebody else doesn't by then. — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 18:42, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but that is what they call it "Best in Class", that's why I put it in quotes. I'm not describing them as best in class but just the theme of their current marketing campaign itself, and the "one-stop banking source" is their primary goal. I can separate the points part that's not a problem, but it just isn't as descriptive to say usage credits. Because it is only on certain accounts and what not.Strunke 21:52, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
