Brea Olinda Unified School District is the school district serving the City of Brea in Orange County, California, United States. It also serves portions of the nearby cities of Fullerton, Yorba Linda and La Habra.

The school district consists of:

Construction of a new elementary school is underway at the corner of Birch and Valencia.

The mission of the Brea Olinda Unified School District, in partnership with home and community, is to provide all students a quality education that prepares and inspires them to strive for high goals, become responsible, contributing citizens, and continue learning all their lives. To do this, we seek daily to create a challenging, supportive learning environment in which all members of the educational community are respected, differences are valued, and excellence is expected.

The Brea Olinda Unified School District has a seven-member board. Each member is elected to serve a four-year term of office. The current trustees are:

The Board of Trustees is responsible for policy making for the school district.

The Superintendent

The Board of Trustees appoints a professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school district. The Superintendent of Schools is Tim Harvey who acts as the chief executive officer of the school district as well as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees. He has two Assistant Superintendents, Dr. A.J. Roland for Business Services and Ms. Anne Flesher for Personnel and Educational Services.

Brea Olinda Unified consists of nine schools: six elementary schools, one junior high school, one high school and one continuation high school. Construction of a new elementary school is underway at the corner of Birch and Valencia.

Brea Education Foundation

Mission Statement

The Brea Education Foundation was established to support the mission of the Brea Olinda Unified School District. The Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to raising funds and developing resources to provide students the tools and materials needed in order to maintain and advance educational opportunities for a new generation of learners.[1]

  1. ^ Trustee Sokol was re-elected in November 2006 to complete the two remaining years of former Trustee Denise Keller's vacated seat. This seat will be up for re-election again in 2008.
