Venkat Prabhu

Venkat Prabhu, is a Tamil film director, actor and also a singer. His real name Venket Kumar. He is the eldest son of prominent veteran film personality Gangai Amaran, brother of comedian actor, singer and music director Premji Amaran, nephew of music director Maestro Ilayaraaja and cousin of famous South Indian music composers Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja and singer Bhavatharini.[1] Though he had the ambition to became a successful music director after completing his music degree from Trinity College of Music London he couldn't fulfill his dreams and instead started his career as a singer in the film industry and later became an actor where he rather acted in character roles than as a hero. He hogged spotlight for the first time when he turned director with the summer hit Chennai 600028 and is now gearing up for his next venture titled Saroja.
