Moon (gamer)

Jang "Spirit_Moon" Jae Ho (December 14, 1986) is a South Korean professional gamer of the popular Blizzard real-time strategy game called Warcraft III. Jang "Spirit_Moon" Jae Ho is currently playing for the world renowned gaming team MeetYourMakers (MYM). He is, as confirmed by fans and the number of tournament and league victories using the Night Elf race, the best Night Elf player in the world. Jang "Spirit_Moon" Jae Ho is also one of the best Warcraft III The Frozen Throne players in the world.

Jang "Spirit_Moon" Jae Ho is particularly known by for his excellent micromanagement and innovative strategies. He is often seen using strategies that later set the benchmark for many Nightelf players and was nicknamed the "5th Race" by Gametv.com.

Jang "Spirit_Moon" Jae Ho gained global fame for one of the most dominant tournament win streaks in the history of the game Warcraft III The Frozen Throne. In 2005, he almost went largely undefeated and had summed up a grand total of approximately $83,000 USD from tournaments and league prize money alone.

A rivalry between Jae Ho “Spirit_Moon” Jang and the professional Orc player from the Netherlands Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen developed late 2004 when they first met face to face in a showmatch. Late 2004 also included the decline of the previous dominant Warcraft III players such Daeho "Showtime" Kim and Fredrik "MaDFroG" Johansson. With many of the previous dominant Warcraft III professional players either retired or not playing well, Jae Ho “Spirit_Moon” Jang and Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen have been two of the dominating players in the Warcraft III professional scene as of late 2004 and still are to this day. They have encountered each other in several matchups and the most recent being the Super Fight for which the winner would walk away with a grand $ 10,000 prize. This was won by Spirit_Moon in a convincing 2 to nil victory over his Orc opponent. Previous to that encounter, Manuel had beaten Jung Jae ho in a 3:1 Victory during the WEG Masters.

Jang Jae Ho plays 2v2 with his teammate MYM]Lucifer in various leagues and tournaments.

Strategies and Techniques

• AoW Creeping Technique: Jae Ho is known for his excellent use of the Ancient of War to aid in taking out difficult creep camps. In addition, his hero and/or units will take only a minimal ammount of damage.
• Master Talons Strategy: Jae Ho is known for not creating, but popularizing this strategy against Orc. He used this strategy to defeat "Grubby" many times. Although his use of this strategy has decreased since Grubby defeated him at WEG 2006 when he used it, Jae Ho used this strategy to defeat "Grubby" at the second match on Echo Isles at Super Fight 2 for $10,000.
• Night Elf Towering/Tower Push Strategy: The Night Elf towering/tower push is one of Jae Ho's signature and classic strategies. He uses this strategy mainly for the Undead vs. Night Elf match-up; however, he will sometimes use it to take down a Human expansion.
• Night Elf Tri-Hero Pitlord Strategy: Jae Ho is highly praised for his incorporation of the pitlord in his playing. He uses this strategy specifically for the Night Elf vs. Human match-up. Although the Pitlord is regarded as a weak hero by players, Moon denies this opinion with his effective use of the Pitlord to decimate the Human casters.
• Alchemist Strategy: The alchemist is considered by many players as the weakest hero in the game. Jae Ho is noted by fans for his incorporation of the alchemist in is hero mix.

• In the middle 2006, Jang “Spirit_Moon” Jae Howas not playing very well. Many fans believed that the "old Moon" was gone. However, he has recovered from his slump as of October-November 2006 with victories at Digital Life and Super Fight 2. Dutch professional player of real-time strategy game Warcraft III Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen stated after losing to Jang “Spirit_Moon” Jae Ho at Super Fight 2, "I think the old Moon, the Moon from 2005 is back."
• Jang “Spirit_Moon” Jae Ho is referred to, by gamestv.com, as "The Fifth Race". Gamestv.com considers him, "A great player. A marvelous elf." In addition gamestv.com states, "With surprising tactics, no one can ever guess what his next move is."
• Jang “Spirit_Moon” Jae Ho is currently ranked 7 as of November 2006 by GosuGamers. (He lost many points for his ranking because of his numerous losses during his time of poor play rannging from mid-2006 to November 2006 to players of lesser skill. However, he gained many points for his victories at Digital Life and Super Fight 2.
• Although Jang “Spirit_Moon” Jae Ho has more wins over Grubby, Jang “Spirit_Moon” Jae Ho does not have more wins over Dae Hui "Fov" Cho, a South Korean professional Undead player of Warcraft III currently playing for wNv. An interesting circle has been created as Moon has more wins Grubby, Grubby has more wins over Fov, and Fov has more wins over Moon. Sweet is another player Moon often has trouble beating.
• Jang “Spirit_Moon” Ho's ex-girlfriend left him to date his teammate Jung-Ki "Susiria" Oh.
