Martin A.C. Hinton was a British paleontologist who is among those associated with the Piltdown Man hoax, a fabricated skull allegedly discovered at a dig in Piltdown, England, and presented as a missing link between man and ape.

He died in 1998 as a result of a vicious assault caused by the mythical waterbeast the Kracken.
