The following is a list of virtual printer software:

  • Adobe Acrobat – Adobe System's commercial PDF authoring suite includes Adobe Distiller, a virtual printer for converting documents to PDF files. Adobe Distiller is not included with the free-to-use Adobe Reader product.
  • Autodesk DWF Writer - a free virtual printer for publishing 2D and 3D design DWF documents.
  • BullZip PDF Printer - free virtual PDF printer based on ghostscript.
  • Custom Virtual Printer - development of virtual printers with custom names. For C++, C#, Delphi, VB.NET, VB.
  • CutePDF Writer - a freeware virtual printer for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • FinePrint - Print multiple pages on one sheet, combine multiple jobs, remove margins, print watermarks etc. The output can then be saved to a .fp file or passed to a physical printer. Another product, pdfFactory allows arbitrary print jobs to be saved as a PDF file.

  • pdf995 - Freeware with banner.
  • PDFCreator - a free, open-source virtual printer for Microsoft Windows that can create PDF files from nearly any application.
  • Print Distributor - Distribute, email and archive printed output.
  • Print2Flash - a shareware virtual printer for printing SWF Adobe Flash files.
  • Print2PDF - a shareware virtual printer for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Rarefind Paperless Printer - Paperless Printer can be used as a virtual printer to publish virtually any document in PDF, HTML, DOC, XLS, JPEG, or BMP file formats, preserving the exact look and content of the original document, complete with fonts and graphics.
  • ReaSoft PDF Printer - a virtual printer that enables to convert to Portable Document Format file (PDF) any application that has a printing functionality.
  • SuperFax – Supervoice's fax software was the first commercial virtual fax product and sends and receives faxes through a fax line on a server or a PC.
  • Winprint HylaFAX - an open-source client for Hylafax Server.
