I'm suggesting that the incredibly length history be split out into a separate order and ALSO shortened. It's ridiculously detailed and should be cleaned up, especially the "trial" section. [[User:Heat fan1|heat_fan1]] ([[User talk:Heat fan1|talk]]) 20:38, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Revision as of 19:10, 10 October 2008

Article name

Shouldn't it be named "New Marlins stadium"? --Rabbethan 00:01, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. • Freechild'sup? 02:54, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stadium Deal

Anyone heard about the county meeting yet?Dshibshm (talk) 00:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's still going, I'm watching it as I speak. --Rabbethan 01:23, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Subheading names

Using subheadings like "2005: Marlins stadium hopes dissipate" sounds cutesy and essay-like. They should be more straightforward, such as "2005 setback(s)". • Freechild'sup? 02:54, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well so be it if it sounds cutesy and essay like that doesnt matter. Those hopes did dissipate and setbacks i mean they had setbacks everyyear so putting dissipate, when their hopes were diminishing that year and looking to relocations gives a more detailed caption.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Fredler Brave (talkcontribs) 02:46, 21 April 2008

This is wikipedia. It does matter how it sounds like. It should be tagged as such. LostLucidity (talk) 20:47, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Longivity

This section has been moved from the original Marlins site already but i and others wouldn;t mind if someone would create a page for a section totally talking about the fight for a stadium. Just as long its part of the New Marlins stadium page in a link or in all.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Fredler Brave (talkcontribs) 01:51, 27 May 2008

Changed the Name

There is no need to have it merged because the page is too long and the page talks about the fight for new stadium in detail and not how the stadium will be build or designs.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Fredler Brave (talkcontribs) 05:14, 23 July 2008

article moved

I am changing the name of the article to New marlins ballpark. sunshineofyourlove12, 19:34 10 August 2008 (UTC)

You really oughtn't, without first seeking a consensus. Especially since you're seeking to undo something that was decided by consensus. Now, you can argue that the previous sample was too small, and therefore that the question should be brought up again. But to simply revert isn't a good idea. History merge

I've merged edits from four titles that this article existed under previously. These articles were repeatedly deleted as recreations of previously-deleted material. Note Talk:Marlins Stadium, reproduced below. Edits from the following pages have been merged here:

  • Marlins Stadium from 22:33, 9 February 2005 to 20:01, 19 December 2005
  • New Marlins Ballpark, which was recreated and continually deleted:
    • on 03:50, 31 August 2007 to 03:53, 31 August 2007
    • on 12:33, 8 September 2007 to 22:19, 18 September 2007
    • on 7 November 2007, many times
  • New Miami Ballpark from 21:24, 9 November 2007 to 05:02, 24 November 2007
  • New marlins stadium from 17:05, 19 December 2007 to 18:46, 19 December 2007

Split out History/length

I'm suggesting that the incredibly length history be split out into a separate order and ALSO shortened. It's ridiculously detailed and should be cleaned up, especially the "trial" section. heat_fan1 (talk) 20:38, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Splitting is premature as the new ballpark does not yet exist (recall WP:CRYSTAL), and as a result cannot have a history. The timeline is much too detailed and much be trimmed as Wikipedia is not a news organisation. There is much too much undue weight in the article already, and the location of the proposed stadium - if it ever gets built - has not been finalised. 147.70.242.41 (talk) 19:10, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
