Graphs

A graph of the total number of featured articles on the English and German Wikipedias
A graph of the FA proportions on the English and German Wikipedias. The FA proportion = (# featured articles)/(total article count)

Key:

  • Current FACs - the # of FACs (closed after 1-2 weeks, in general) on the FAC list at the date in question. Towards the end of 2004, FAC moved from a two-week evaluation period to a one-week period, cutting the number of current-FACs more or less in half. Some nominations are given more than the usual period to overcome objections.
  • Peer reviews this month - to December 2004, the # of entries on Wikipedia:Peer review which were submitted after the start of the month and are still on the list on the date in question; from December 2004, the number of entries contained in that month's archive.

Note that this chart does not take into consideration the hundred-odd featured lists. It does, however, include the thousands of lists in the number of overall articles, so the proportion of featured articles is actually somewhat higher than it would appear from this chart. For details of the promotion of featured list candidates, see the featured list log.
