Radio Orpheus
Radio Orphey (Russian language|Russian]]: Радио Орфей, literally "Radio Orpheus") was created in August 1960. It broadcasts centralized classical music from Moscow. It uses mostly FM broadcasting, except for AM broadcasting transmitters in St. Petersburg and Volgograd.
The channel went under various owners throught its history:
- 1960-1991: All-Union Radio
- 1991-1995: State TV and Radio Company "Ostankino"
- 1995-2007: All Russian State Television and Radio Company
- 2007-present: State-controlled independent enterprise
