Nanoscope
Nanoscope can refer to any imaging system with submicron resolution;
usually such resolution is achieved in electron microscopes or various
types of scanning probe microscopy.
Optimistic estimates with respect to use of an atom optics
for a nanometer scale resolution imaging system (atomic nanoscope
are expressed in the scientific literature;
the evanescent light waves [[1]],
or ridged mirrors [[2]]
can be used for the conventration of an atomic beam to a spot of size of several nanometers.
Also, "nanoscope" can refer to a specific imaging device with sub-micron resolution [[3]] or even specific endoscope or even specific endoscope [[4]] (which is not required to provire the sub-micron resolution).
