Stensholmen is a small island lying off the west coast of Sweden.[1] It is located 2 Km to the north-west of the centre of Särö, and 2 Km to the south of Vallda Church in Halland County.[2] It is the last resting place of a number of British and German sailors killed in the Battle of Jutland during the First World War and subsequently washed up on and around the island, including the author Gorch Fock (real name Johann Wilhelm Kinau).[3][4]
The island is also home to lynxes that are known to attack sheep farmed on the island.[5]
