Elythranthera brunonis, also known as Purple Enamel Orchid, is a species of orchid which is endemic to Western Australia.
Description
This wildflower has shiny purple flowers with an approximate size of 3-4 cm.
Distribution
The species occurs around Perth and forests of the south west of Western Australia.[1]
Taxonomy
The species was first formally described in 1839 by botanist Stephan Endlicher in Novarum Stirpium Decades and given the name Glossodia brunonis. It was transferred to the genus Elythranthera by Alex George in 1963.[2]
