Vladimír Kobranov (born October 4, 1927) is an ice hockey player for the Czechoslovakian national team. He won a silver medal at the 1948 Winter Olympics and a gold medal at the 1949 world championship. In 1950 he was imprisoned with other czech hockey players of the golden generation by the communist government. Prior to this the czech hockey team was not allowed to play on the 1950 world championship. His career and careers of his colleagues, some of the best hockey players of the time, were thus forcefuly brought to an end by the despotism of the totalitarian communist regime.
