Sukachev, Vladimir Nikolayevich (1880 Aleksandrovka (Potsdam)-1967 Moscow) is a Russian geobotanist, engineer, geographer, corresponding member (1920) and full member (1943) of the AS USSR. In 1919-1941 it headed the department of dendrology and systematics of the plants of forest institute in St Peterburg (Leningrad), created by him, in 1941-1943 he managed the department of the biological sciences of Ural forestry institute in Sverdlovsk.
