Mezen (Мезень) is a river in the European part of Russia, flowing into the White Sea. Its length is 857 km. Its source is in the Timan hills in Komi Republic, west of the northern Ural Mountains. It flows roughly in north-western direction. The Vychegda flows into the White Sea near the town Mezen, see below.


Mezen (Мезень) is also a town in Russia, Arkhangelsk Oblast. It lies near the mouth of the river Mezen (see above) in the White Sea.
