ÁTVR or written out Áfengis- og tóbaksverslun ríkisins is the "alcohol and tobacco sale of the state" in Iceland .

Only in the 48 Vínbúðin sales points in the country are drinks with more than 2.25% vol. Alcohol content to be sold. Colloquially they are also called Ríkið ( the state ).
