Året med kungafamiljen
Året med kungafamiljen (German: The year with the royal family ) is an annual broadcast on the Swedish television station Sveriges Television . In the program, the Swedish king is shown both as head of state and as father and husband. The Swedish court and Sveriges Television have made a special agreement for the broadcast.
The show has been broadcast since 1977. Usually a reporter conducts an interview with the royal family in one of the royal palaces. In between, films about state visits , state receptions , cabinet meetings and other representations of the Swedish royal family are shown. In addition, private impressions are shown, which consistently convey a positive image of the royal family.
The show is seen by over 3 million Swedes every year. In spring 2010, Sveriges Television published the Åren med kungafamiljen DVD collection from 1976–2009.
