Écart (French pronounced "ekahr", affair) means:

  • In statistics a term for the deviations from the normal number (average value). The size of the deviations is expressed by the fluctuation number , i.e. H. the ratio of the sum of the positive and negative deviations to the average number.
  • in the French exchange language in the futures market ( marché à terme ) resulting difference between the fixed price ( marché ferme ) and the purchase price, subject to withdrawal by paying a premium ( marché à prime ) - see Ekart .
  • a design studio founded by Andrée Putman in 1978 for interiors, shop designs and furniture.
  • the company Ecart International , the Möbel u. a. by Andrée Putman and reissues designs from the early 1920s by previously neglected designers.
