Andrée Putman
Andrée Putman (born Andrée Christine Aynard ; born December 23, 1925 in Paris ; † January 19, 2013 ibid) was a French interior architect and designer .
Putman started out as a journalist for the international women's magazine Elle . At the same time she designed household accessories for the Prisunic department store chain.
In 1978 she founded her own office for interior design, Ecart, and in 1997 her continuing company called Andrée Putman SARL . She designed the final equipment for the Air France Concorde fleet, including the seats and dishes. Putman designed for the brands Poltrona Frau and Emeco , among others . She made film sets like the one for "The Pillow Book" (1996) by Peter Greenaway . In 2010 the Andrée Putman retrospective was shown in the Paris City Hall . Andrée Putman: "My way of working has remained the same for 32 years: a tightrope walk between discipline and madness."
