The Île Agueli ( Arabic حجرة بونطاح, DMG Hadjrat Bountah ) is a small, uninhabited island of Algeria in the Mediterranean Sea . It is located 1000 m off the mainland coast of the municipality of Réghaïa and about 25 km east of Algiers .
The sea manual speaks of the Ilots Agueli in the plural and in the diminutive , which means that there are several islands. The maximum height is then 25 meters.
The almost 600 m long and a maximum of 40 m wide rocky island has no vegetation.
