The municipality is located around 45 kilometers northeast of Reims . Novy-Chevrières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coucy in the south, Doux in the south-west, Bertoncourt in the west, Sorbon in the north-west, Corny-Machéroménil in the north and the communes of Auboncourt-Vauzelles in the canton of Signy-l'Abbaye in the north-east and Lucquy in the south-east .

history

In 1828 the municipalities of Novy and Saint Martin Chevrières were combined to form today's municipality of Novy-Chevrières.
