Tagnon is a French commune with 884 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rethel and the canton of Château-Porcien (until 2015: canton of Juniville ). The inhabitants are called Tagnonais .

Tagnon is about 33 kilometers northeast of Reims . Tagnon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Avançon in the north and northwest, Acy-Romance in the northeast, Perthes in the east, Neuflize in the south and southeast, Le Châtelet-sur-Retourne in the south, Saint-Remy-le-Petit in the southwest and Saint-Loup -en-Champagne to the west.

Route nationale 51 ( Europastraße 46 ) leads through the municipality , which is partly also run as the A34 car route.
