The municipality is located on the banks of the Aisne River and the parallel Canal des Ardennes , which form the northern municipal boundary. Taizy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Avançon in the south, the canton capital Château-Porcien in the west and north and the communities of Barby in the canton of Rethel in the northeast and Nanteuil-sur-Aisne in the east.
