Banogne-Recouvrance is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Quentin-le-Petit in the north-west, Hannogne-Saint-Rémy in the north, Saint-Fergeux in the east, Condé-lès-Herpy in the south-east, Saint-Germainmont in the south and Le Thour in the south-west .

history

In the last weeks of the war in 1918, the village was the scene of fierce fighting on the Hindenburg line . On October 25, 1918, the French army captured the Hunding position , the last section between Saint-Quentin and the Aisne valley . Of the town's 125 houses, only ten remained after the fighting. The village and church were rebuilt in the 1920s .
