Aussonce is a French commune with 215 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Rethel , the canton of Château-Porcien (until 2015: canton of Juniville ) and the communal association of the Pays Rethélois . The inhabitants are called Alsontains .

Aussonce is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ménil-Lépinois in the north, Juniville in the northeast, La Neuville-en-Tourne-à-Fuy in the east, Bétheniville in the southeast, Pontfaverger-Moronvilliers in the south, Heutrégiville in the southwest and Warmeriville in the west.
