Inaumont is a French commune with 99 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Rethel and to the community association Pays Rethélois, founded in 2014 . The residents call themselves Flamoges .
geography
Inaumont is located at the confluence of the Plumion in the Vaux , about 42 kilometers northeast of Reims in the northwest of the Dry Champagne south of the Ardennes . With the exception of small trees and remains of alluvial forest along the rivers, the 4.75 km² municipal area is characterized by grain fields. A range of hills called Montagne de Sery juts out into the municipality from the north . The highest point in the municipality is reached here at 138 meters above sea level. Inaumont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hauteville in the north, Sery in the northeast, Arnicourt in the southeast and south and Écly in the west.

The D 3 trunk road from Novion-Porcien to Château-Porcien runs through the municipality of Inaumont . The town of Rethel , eight kilometers away, is a local transport hub with connections to the A34 autoroute . Rethel station is on the railway line from Soissons to Givet .
