Écly is a French commune with 176 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Rethel , the canton of Château-Porcien and the Pays Rethélois municipality .

Écly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hauteville in the north, Inaumont in the east, Arnicourt in the south-east, Barby in the south, Château-Porcien in the south-west and Son in the north-west.

Attractions

The choir and the south arm of the transept of the church in Écly were built in the 15th century. The nave, or at least its south wall, also dates back to this time. The facade was rebuilt in the 18th century and the north wall in the second half of the 19th century. The north arm of the transept and a large part of the sacristy were built at the end of the 19th century.
